This notice explains which cookies ScanEron uses, what they are for, and how to choose. It is drafted pursuant to art. 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Privacy Code), the Guidelines of the Data Protection Authority of June 10, 2021, and Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
This table is generated by the site code: it is the real list, not a handwritten copy.
Keep the session open, protect forms, and remember the chosen language. Without them, access and forms do not work. They are written only when needed: reading a public page does not give you any.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
SE_SESS |
Keeps the session open: login, form protection, documents unlocked with a password, conversation with the assistant. | Until the browser is closed |
se_remember |
Written only if you check "Remember me" at login: keeps you logged in between visits. | 60 days |
se_lang |
Remembers the language you chose, so you don't have to select it again each time. | 1 year |
se_consent |
Remembers the choice you made here. It is also written in case of refusal, otherwise the notice would reappear on every page. | 1 year |
Remember the light or dark theme. Rejecting them means the theme applies for this visit, just not remembered next time.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
se_theme |
Remembers if you prefer the light or dark theme. | 1 year |
These entries are not cookies: they stay on your device, are not sent to the server, and do not serve to identify you. We list them anyway for completeness. They are deleted by clearing site data from the browser.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
se_chat_size |
Remembers how much you enlarged the chat window on a product page, to find it the same size again. | Until you clear your browser data |
se_qr_view |
Remembers if you prefer to see your QR in tiles or in a list. | Until you clear your browser data |
se_fab_hint |
Remembers that the assistant's tooltip has already been shown to you, so it doesn't reappear. | As long as the browser tab remains open |

ScanEron uses few cookies and all are its own: no third-party cookies, no advertising cookies, no profiling, no cross-site tracking.
The cookies we use are of two types: technical cookies, necessary for access, forms, and chat to function, and one preference cookie, which remembers if you prefer the light or dark theme.
You can browse and read public pages and product pages without accepting anything: as long as you do not log in, fill out a form, or use the chat, no cookie is written on your device.
Cookies are small text files that websites save on the device of the visitor, to read them again on subsequent visits. Similar technologies (browser local storage, identifiers) follow the same rules.
Technical cookies are needed to make the site work: keeping a session open, protecting forms from fraudulent submissions, remembering the chosen language. For these, the law does not require consent, but it requires that you are informed: that’s what we are doing here.
Preference cookies remember a convenience choice you made. They are not essential, so we only use them if you say yes.
Analytical and profiling cookies are used to measure visitor behavior or to show advertisements. ScanEron does not use any.
The complete list, with name, purpose, and duration of each cookie, is in the table above: it is generated directly from the site code, so it is always up to date.
The session cookie is created only when needed: at the time of login, when you submit a form, when you unlock a password-protected document, or when you write to the assistant. It is not created for simply reading a page.
The cookie that remembers your choice about cookies is written even if you refuse: without it, this notice would reappear on every page.
Who creates a QR code sees how many times their page has been opened, from what type of device, and in which language. This count does not use cookies: it happens on our server.
To distinguish a repeated visit without identifying anyone, the IP address is transformed into an irreversible fingerprint (a non-reversible cryptographic function) and only that is retained. The clear IP address is not saved in these statistics.
On the first visit, a box appears with three options: accept all, refuse non-essential cookies, or choose category by category.
You can change your mind whenever you want from the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of each page. If you withdraw consent for a category, the cookies of that category are immediately deleted from your browser.
You can also manage and delete cookies from your browser settings. Warning: blocking technical cookies may cause access to your account and forms to stop working.
